The story
A secret laboratory in the clouds where dreams are made. Professor Nimbus bottles sweet dreams, Mister Midnight brews nightmares, and both of them want you tonight. Spin dreams and Nimbus wins the night; spin nightmares and Midnight does.

Act I · The night shift
High in the clouds, two factories are working on your night. Cloud 9 bottles sweet dreams on the left and the Midnight Works brews nightmares on the right. Every winning line sends a wisp into its own side's tube: pink for a dream, green smoke for a nightmare.

Act II · Sweet Dreams
Cloud 9 runs at full steam while you count ten sheep. Only Dream Wheels land, and often. Nimbus cheers on the left, and Midnight has shrunk behind his own tube, shielding his face from the light.

Act III · The Nightmare
Count ten sheep, and don't look under the bed. A Nightmare Wheel lands on every spin while Midnight towers over the right side with his arms spread, and Nimbus crouches behind his tube and peeks out. When the last sheep is counted, the alarm rings.

The NightmaretowersRead from the market packs the server applies, so it never lists a game as launchable where a launch would be refused.
The grid the engine addresses, at its real proportions, with the title block of the pack it was drawn from. The cells, the lines and the signature are all read from the game; none of it is typed.
Read out of this game's measured evidence pack, which the measurement run writes itself.

What one round can cost you
Operators in different markets are served different rungs, so we publish the whole ladder. Each rung is measured on its own evidence; none is inferred from the rung above.

What is on the board and what each symbol does. These are the same rules the game shows a player.
A line pays from reel 1, left to right, for three, four or five of a kind. The fourteen lines are fixed and every stake covers all of them. The same cell can pay on several lines at once.
Nothing stands in for anything. There is no wild and no scatter, so a line is exactly what it shows.
Reels 1, 3 and 5 can also land a Z, one at most on each. A Z joins no line: it turns into a wheel.

And the two that turn into wheels
Dream ZLands on reels 1, 3 and 5 only, one a reel at most, and becomes a Dream Wheel.
Nightmare ZThe same reels and the same rule, and it becomes a Nightmare Wheel. The wheels
A Z becomes a wheel of seven slices over its own cell. When the reels have stopped, the wheels turn from left to right and pour into the Dream Pipe under the board, which starts at the spin's line win. A plus adds that many bets to the pipe; a times multiplies everything in it so far.

A ×3 on reel 1 and then a +50 on reel 3 make (line win × 3) + 50. The other way round, the same two slices make (line win + 50) × 3. A times on an empty pipe multiplies nothing.
A Z slice is a push. In the night shift it pours 3 into the tube of its own wheel's side. Inside a night it sends one more sheep.
The slices are drawn the same size and are not equally likely. The game's rules page states the chance of every one.
The tubes
Every winning line feeds the tube of its symbol's side: 1 for three of a kind, 2 for four, 3 for five. A Z slice adds 3 to its own side. Fill a tube and that side wins the night.

Nimbus bottles every dream you spin. Each winning line of feathers, bubbles, rainbows, stars or comets pours in, pink.

Midnight brews every nightmare you spin. Each winning line of Chatters, the Closet, Webster, Lump or Midnight pours in, green.
The tubes belong to you at each bet level and are kept between sessions: leave, come back next month, and both are where you left them.

Ten sheep to count. Only Dream Wheels land, and they land often.

Ten sheep to count. A Nightmare Wheel lands on every single spin.

In a night the spins are sheep. A Z on a wheel sends one more, and nothing else carries from one sheep to the next.

When both tubes fill on the same spin, the game stops and asks you. The two nights are built to return the same, so you only choose the ride. The other tube stays full and opens after your next spin.

The alarm closes every night. Warm clouds wash it away and the night's total counts up, with the sheep counted, the wheels turned and the best pipe under it. A tube that opened the night empties; the other keeps its level.
A win is delivered by the factory that made it. Each side has four words, grander with every rung for a dream and scarier for a nightmare, and every letter lands on its own.

Money counts in the game's own gold numerals, and gold is never used for anything else.

Either sign opens its night straight away, at one price for both, and leaves both tubes exactly where they were. Where a market does not allow a feature to be bought, the signs are not shown at all.See our fairness page for how to check it yourself.
What your integration lead needs to know. All of it is built and documented today.
The rules of play, the paytable and the measured return per mode travel on /v1/session/open in every language we serve. They are enforced on every bet, whatever a client does with them, so a client holding its own copy cannot describe a game nobody is serving. This game is playable at /play/sleep-tight with no account needed.
Every operator asks for something to be different, usually late and usually as a condition. There are three ways to do it, and the first costs nothing.
~85% of what operators ask for
Bet levels, feature toggles, and which drawn skin your licence is served. It is a row in the database and goes live the same day. A key that is not declared on the version cannot be overridden: the write is refused.
When you are not ready to re-test
You stay on the version you tested while everybody else moves on. Different operators run different builds at the same time, at zero engineering cost, because a build is a row in the database and not a branch of the code.
Rare, and priced for the work involved
A real fork of the maths or the feature set, with its own calibration, evidence pack, certification and price.
There is no branch per operator and no build per market. That is why a new market takes an insert and a certification instead of a release, and why the twentieth licensee costs what the second one did.
Every game of this kind is built against a published reference. Where ours departs from it, we record the departure and the reason for it.

the owner's approved design (GAME.md) and the reference machine's figures, read 2026-10-27
Still open
The first solve moved the paytable scale, the usual lever, and landed at nearly ten times the pays the owner approved on screen: those pays were sized for a twelve-step tube, where the bonuses carry the return, and with a bonus once in about two hundred rounds the base game has to return about half the stake by itself. A paytable ten times the approved one is a different paytable. So the lead rung holds the pays at scale 1.0 and solves how often a Z lands in the base game instead, and the wheel, the game's signature event, carries the base return. The strips were flattened slightly to bring the hit rate back toward the reference. Taken by the maths for the owner's veto, which is still open (GAME.md §18 item 12).
Decided
The prototype asks the player to choose a night when both tubes fill on one spin, and the round stops and waits for that decision (ADR-043, the first stepped round in the studio).
With each side opening about once in four hundred rounds, both filling at once is about 1 in 228,000 base rounds in the measurement, so the moment almost never arises in play; the demo plays it from the showcase rounds, once each way. Making it a moment players meet would mean coupling the two tubes, which is a change to the rules, not a lever.
Still open
A persistence game has no single per-round return.
The published 96.29% is the stationary expectation over the two tubes: the long-run return of a player who keeps playing at one bet level. A round started with both tubes empty is worth 48.0%, and the rest is in the tubes, which belong to one player at one bet level and persist between sessions. The platform has no store for that state: the demo carries the pair itself round to round, and real-money play waits for a platform table keyed on the operator, the player reference, the game and the bet level (GAME.md §9.6, §18 item 6). The per-state values, including those above 100%, are disclosed rather than hidden, and what a laboratory wants the rules page to carry is a question for the laboratory.
Still open
The games a second engine covers are verified by packages/math-verifier (ADR-034), an independent implementation built from GAME.md and PRNG-SPEC.md that shares no code with the engine.
There is no adapter for this game. What checks its derivation is the witness: long sessions of real rounds through the SAME resolver, carrying the tubes round to round as the platform will, with no model in the arithmetic. That catches an error in the derivation and cannot catch one in the resolver, because both sides share it.
What is done, what comes next, and what a real-money launch is still waiting for.
No laboratory has certified this game. Everything above is our own measurement, produced by our own engine. It has not been tested by GLI, BMM, eCOGRA or iTech Labs, it holds no market certificate in any environment, and the server refuses a real-money launch without one. The demo replays recorded rounds of this same measured maths, with no money in or out.

4,096 ways, 6×4

Three guardians hold the sunken city down by its breath. Burst them with pearls and dive from the reef to the city, where the Deep Pot is banked in steps instead of risked whole.
Its return is a first probe, and every figure moves when the calibration lands.
Up to 20,736 ways, tumble, getaway

A bank vault door is the board: a ring of sixteen turns clockwise around four falling tumblers, and three dials open it for the getaway.
Its maths is not calibrated yet: every pay and weight in the demo is a placeholder, so no evidence pack exists to read a figure from.
