Licences & certifications

Getaway Gaming is not yet licensed as a supplier in any jurisdiction.

Provisional: this document is not approved yet

Everything below is a draft. It becomes the studio's approved position only when every administrator has signed this exact version in the client area. Until then, read it as an accurate description of what we do and intend, not as a document anybody has signed off.

Written in-house, not reviewed by a lawyer, and no Maltese entity exists yet to be a party to it. What approval means here

Where we launch

Malta and Anjouan, and nowhere else for now. Neither licence is in place yet.

For later

For the future. We are thinking about this market, and nothing is planned for it yet.

Great Britain (Gambling Commission), Netherlands (Kansspelautoriteit), Germany (Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder), Sweden (Spelinspektionen), Denmark (Spillemyndigheden), and the regulated markets of the EU and the US more widely. We have read enough of their rules to build the games to them, and we have not decided to apply in any of them.

Supplier licences

None held, in any jurisdiction

We launch in Malta, under a Malta Gaming Authority licence, and in Anjouan. Neither is in place yet. The games are built to the standards a supplier licence is granted against: GLI-11 for the game and its RNG, GLI-19 for the system around it. None of that is a licence, and no test house has certified a build, in any environment. Until a regulator issues a licence and a laboratory signs a report, this register has nothing to list.

Laboratory certificates

A licence says who may supply. A certificate says what was tested. They are different documents and they will not arrive at the same time.

No build has been certified by a test house

Not by GLI, BMM, eCOGRA or iTech Labs. No engagement has taken place. Certificates do exist on our development database, and every one of them says in its own record that nobody issued it. They are fixtures that let the licence chain be tested end to end. The server refuses a real-money launch without a real certificate, which is correct, so today it refuses every one.

What we build to

GLI-11 is the standard a slot game and its random number generator are tested against; GLI-19 is the standard for the system around it: change management, access control, the integrity of the control program, game recall, interrupted rounds. The conduct rules sit on top of both and differ per market: the UK Gambling Commission's remote technical standards, the Kansspelautoriteit's Keuringsschema, Germany's GlüStV and the GGL's guidance.

The games and the systems around them are built against all of them, and large parts exist specifically because they ask for it: the append-only integrity log, the seed commitment, the per-round replay, the role-based access control with an expiry on every grant, the four-eyes rule on production, the market packs. None of that is a licence, and none of it is a certificate. Both are issued by somebody else, and neither has been.

What you can check today

The maths

Our own measurements, produced by our engine and checked by a second, independent one. Published per rung of each game’s ladder.

Every figure on a game page, with its interval and its method.

The rounds

Any round can be reconstructed from the seed and the nonce and compared against what was recorded: the win, every event, and the number of draws.

Committed seed, released seed, replay.

The build

What the control program hashes to is answerable by anyone, because a regulator asking that question should not need an account from us first.
